Urgent: Haiti Earthquake Update

By now you have all seen the news of the devastating 7.2 magnitude earthquake that has shaken Haiti. The death toll continues to rise and our thoughts and prayers are with the precious Haitians. But we also have a plan to show God’s love in action.

Our team on the ground is already preparing food and medical supplies to aid those in need.  Since 2009 we have been financially supporting our team with $10,000 per month. That provides over 270,000 meals, as well as critical medical supplies and infrastructure for times like these. The 300,000 square foot Kingdom Connection Food Distribution Center which our generous donors helped us complete will be aiding the communities impacted immediately.  The trucks we helped purchase are all-terrain vehicles and will be used to reach the most remote villages impacted.

We're also glad to report no damage was incurred at the 100 homes we helped build after the 2010 earthquake. The families in the Kingdom Connection Village homes are safe and our missionaries said the orphanage and the children were not impacted. The Miracle Market continues to serve the surrounding communities and is a safe place for Haitians to exchange goods and services.

We thank God for the outpouring of love and the generosity of our friends and partners of Free Chapel and Jentezen Franklin Media Ministries. We know in the days ahead we will need to do more for Haiti by re-supplying the distribution center.

Our missionaries Bobby and Sherry always say, “Love is not something you say, it’s something you do.” And we can do so much more to share the love of Jesus in action!

We’ll continue to keep you updated in the coming days as we monitor and assess the needs with the incoming storms in the Caribbean.
