Eshkol Region: Enduring Past and Present Conflicts
On October 7, 2023, the Eshkol region in Southern Israel suffered a brutal attack by Hamas, recognized as one of the world's most dangerous terrorist organizations. The region became the epicenter of the Hamas Massacre, enduring unspeakable atrocities: women faced horrific violence, infants were killed, entire families were burned alive, and mothers, their babies, and Holocaust survivors were abducted into Hamas tunnels in Gaza. As the region continues to grapple with the scars of this tragedy, the escalating conflict between Israel and Iran in 2025 has heightened fears. Recent Iranian missile strikes, including targeting a major hospital in southern Israel, have compounded the region's trauma, threatening the fragile recovery of a community already devastated by violence.

From Darkness to Light
In the aftermath of the devastating attack on the Eshkol region on October 7, 2023, and amidst the escalating tensions between Israel and Iran in 2025, the Eshkol community in Southern Israel faces unprecedented challenges. The initial assault left deep scars, claiming lives and shattering the sense of security for women, children, infants, and Holocaust survivors. Now, with the heightened regional conflict, including Iran's aggressive actions and Israel's defensive responses, the community endures ongoing fear and uncertainty. We are reaching out to ministry friends and partners for your vital support in a mission of hope and restoration.
The initiative, "From Darkness to Light," embodies our steadfast commitment to rebuild not only homes and safe-rooms but also hearts and spirits broken by violence and fear. Our efforts extend beyond physical reconstruction, aiming to foster resilience, nurture faith, and restore hope in a community facing both past trauma and present threats. Together, we can reaffirm the transformative power of unity and compassion in these trying times.
