A Miracle In Haiti

We received this update from our ministry partners in Haiti. Please continue to pray for the safety of our brothers and sisters there. 

A miracle happened yesterday! The gangs were only 10 minutes down the road coming our way. Our security said we must leave now.  We crossed the border into the DR 10 miles from us. 

All of a sudden, the Kenyans and the military showed up, saving us and all Fond Parisian. We had been waiting for them for five days! People were dancing in the streets!  We are heading back into Haiti this morning. I'm hoping by next week, the gangs will be cleared out, and we can bring the two trucks to LAC. It has been too dangerous. The gangs see the new trucks, and they steal them immediately and kidnap the drivers.

I know you had asked what we needed.  Food is a desperate need for the people. The mayor of Ganthier (where all the fighting has been) asked us to meet with him tomorrow. Because of the gangs, they stole everything the people had.

By this weekend, the gangs will no longer be in Ganthier. The people are starving to death there.

We don't have time to bring in more containers. We bring in 6 containers per month. I need to buy rice, beans, cooking oil, etc., wholesale in the country.

I'm going to send you some pictures today of where some of your container meals went this week. 

Everyone in the village is drinking sugar water to stay alive. The water came from the dirty river.
