Let’s Bring Heaven Down!
“…Your kingdom come, your will be done, on earth as it is in heaven.” Matthew 6:10
You can either have a culture in America that invites heaven down through repentance, prayer, fasting, holiness, and right living or you can have the alternative. You either invite heaven down or you pull hell up in a culture. What kind of culture pulls hell up? It's a culture of lies, sin, lust, lawlessness, and murder. It’s a culture of godlessness and mocking the truth of God's Word. The church must not bend to pressure from culture or from the government.
Lines have been drawn by the Word of God. Gender has been defined by the Word of God. There's only two options male and female. Marriage has been drawn by the line of God. One man with one woman for life. That is God's plan and will. Purity and godliness still matter.
A dry boat out on the water is not in danger, but if water starts getting in the boat you have a crisis. The world and today’s sinful culture is like a sea and we will be in danger if so much of the water from the world gets into our lives and families. We have to fight to keep God on the throne in America. We can't be passive and permissive.
It was the Christian faith that made Abraham Lincoln say, “Slavery is not right! And we're going to fight a war against our own kin and split this nation because it's not right. Abraham Lincoln's Biblical Christian convictions drove him to make political change. Politics affect our children and our children’s children. Politics will determine whether or not your grandchildren will have freedom of religion and speech 20 years from now. The majority of leaders who founded America were God-fearing Christians. We are a Christian nation birthed with Christian ideals and morals.
In the fight for civil rights, it was Doctor Martin Luther King Jr., a Christian pastor, who led a nonviolent path based on the example of Jesus Christ. He took action to correct terrible wrongs that were being done in this nation. God used a Christian pastor to evoke change and black churches all over the nation got behind that message. And when citizens of America got behind it, it not only changed this nation, but it paved the way for Nelson Mandela and South Africa and other nations all over the world to become freer than they had ever been.
As bad as some of our history is, America was founded on the rock of Jesus Christ. If ever there was a time to contend for the faith, it’s now.
