The Blood of Jesus

“Though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be white as snow.”  Isaiah 1:18 (KJV)

You might think the Ark of the Covenant is lost forever, some artifact buried by time or tucked away in legend. But Scripture tells you otherwise. Revelation says that the temple of God in Heaven was opened, and there, in full view, was the Ark of His Covenant. The very symbol of God’s presence and mercy, once hidden behind the veil in the earthly tabernacle, is now revealed in Heaven. It is sacred because all of its contents pointed to Jesus.

Inside that Ark were three things: the Ten Commandments, a jar of manna, and Aaron’s rod that budded. Each one a testimony. Each one pointing to Jesus. The law and commandments were fulfilled by Him. The manna represented the Bread of Life. The rod displayed resurrection power. And once a year, on the Day of Atonement, the high priest would sprinkle blood on the mercy seat that covered those sacred contents.

But in the Old Testament, the blood of goats and lambs didn’t remove sin. It only postponed judgment. It rolled sin forward to the next year. Over and over, the cycle continued until Jesus.

Jesus’s blood makes us clean forever.

Jesus didn’t just play the role of the priest. He became the sacrifice. He was the goat for the Lord, chosen to die in your place. Barabbas, the criminal released when Jesus was crucified, was the goat for Azazel, the scapegoat set free. One bore the weight of sin. The other walked away forgiven. Sound familiar? Jesus didn’t delay your sin problem. He erased it. His blood didn’t cover sin for a year. It washed it away forever.

Prayer: Jesus, I believe Your blood is enough to wash me clean. Though my sins were like scarlet, make me white as snow. I surrender my life to you. Fill me with your spirit and raise me into new life. In your mighty name I pray, Amen.
