Little Is Much
“Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us.” Ephesians 3:20
You may feel like what you have to offer is too small. Too insignificant. Like the little boy in John 6 who had only five barley loaves and two small fish, you might look at your life, your gifts, your resources, or even your faith, and wonder, “What is this among so many?”
But Jesus never overlooks what is surrendered. The boy’s name is never mentioned. We know nothing about his family, his status, or his background. All we know is what he gave. He placed it in the hands of Jesus. And once it left his hands and entered the hands of the Savior, the miracle began.
Jesus took what seemed too small and gave thanks for it. Then He multiplied it. The disciples fed thousands, and when it was over, there were twelve baskets left. What was once not enough became more than enough.
You may not feel like you come from much. You may not think you have much.
It does not matter where you came from. It only matters what you are willing to give to Jesus.
Give Him your little faith. Give Him your little hope. Give Him your little strength. And trust that He sees it, blesses it, and uses it for something far greater than you could imagine.
And if you feel broken, like the leftover pieces of a life that was never enough, remember what Jesus said: “Gather up the fragments so that nothing is lost.” Nothing is wasted in the hands of the Savior. Not even your scars. He gathers them all.
Maybe today is the day you place it all in His hands. Your past. Your sin. Your future. He will take it and cleanse it. Though your sins be as scarlet, He will make them white as snow.
Prayer: Jesus, I give you what I have. I give you my heart, my trust, and my life. Take my little and make it much. Wash me clean and make me new. I surrender to you fully. In your name I pray, Amen.
