Sonia’s Story

My name is Sonia Dessouce.  I am 39 years old and I live in Fond Parisien, Haiti.

“I have a wonderful job in Mache Mirak that God has provided for me. I sell Haitian souvenirs and gifts. I feel that God placed me here when I had no way out. When I didn’t know how God was going to make a way, but He did! I thank God for every piece of souvenir I sell.

All of us sellers, machans, we pray every day over our Market at 12:00 noon. You can hear us all over Fond Parisien from the Market because we really pray and thank God! We don’t care who listens. This is a “Miracle Market” and people need to know that God has a miracle for them like He did for me. This market gives me dignity and hope!”
