The Miracle Behind the Miracle Market
In January, 2010, a massive 7.0 magnitude earthquake rocked Haiti. More than 200,000 people died. Over one million people were left homeless and thousands of schools and hospitals were destroyed.
In the months following the earthquake, our missionary partner Bobby Burnette began to feel the Lord dealing with him about building a marketplace that would provide jobs for Haitians. As the Lord spoke to him about building the marketplace, he wondered how it could ever happen. He had no idea how to build a marketplace. No missionary organization had ever attempted to build a private marketplace in Haiti. Where would the money come from? Who would run it?
God already had worked out the answers to those questions. God was already working out the details of the miracle behind the Miracle Market.
As Bobby was walking the floor of the orphanage praying about the marketplace, the phone rang. Pastor Jentezen Franklin called him in Haiti and said that the Lord told him that there was a need in Haiti. Bobby said, “I have a $1,000,000 need! We’re going to build a marketplace in Haiti!”
As you know, that project is now well on its way to completion. God cared about the people in Haiti. He cared enough to make the connections needed to build a marketplace to provide jobs for people who had no other way to provide for their needs. He brought together the right people at the right time and the right place to make the Miracle Market move from an impossible dream to a soon to be completed reality.
God cares just as much about you and your needs as He does about Haiti. He will move supernaturally to bring the right people together at the right time and the right place to work a miracle in your life. Psalm 50:15 (TLB) says, I want you to trust me in your times of trouble, so I can rescue you and you can give me glory.
Keep trusting the Lord, both to complete the Miracle Market in Haiti and to meet every need in your own life.
