Boots on the Ground in Haiti: Feeding the Hungry, One Meal at a Time
We recently received a moving update from our partners on the ground in Haiti—Bobby and Sherry Burnette—who are faithfully serving some of the most vulnerable people in the world. Thanks to your generosity, we were able to send a $10,000 gift, providing more than 272,000 meals for families in desperate need.
In their words, “we have never seen the plight of hunger as bad as it is now.” Hunger has gripped the mountainous regions of Haiti with heartbreaking force. Parents are resorting to placing salt on their children’s tongues so that they can sleep at night—a temporary relief for stomachs aching from emptiness.

But your faithfulness is making a real, tangible difference.
When our “Food Trucks” made the journey deep into the mountains, to a village called Solette, children began to jump for joy at the sight of food. These are families who live so high in the mountains that they can’t even afford a motorbike ride down to seek help. Many survive by foraging for anything edible. Yet when the food arrived, they stood in quiet gratitude—no pushing, no chaos—just thankful hearts and answered prayers.
And Solette isn’t the only village you’ve reached. You’ve helped feed many.
While the safety conditions in Haiti currently prevent travel, our partners remain “boots on the ground,” delivering meals, hope, and the love of Christ to every corner they can reach. We look forward to the day when it will be safe to return and see, firsthand, what God is doing through your continued giving.

Until then, know this: you are changing lives. You are being the hands and feet of Jesus in a place where the need is overwhelming, but the hope is alive.
From all of us at Jentezen Franklin Ministries and our partners in Haiti—thank you.
