Draw A Circle Around Your Family
“As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua 24:15
We need to start creating prayer circles for our sons and daughters. Ask God to get every wrong person out of their lives and replace them with the right people. It doesn’t matter if your family situation seems hopeless. God is looking for some people who have the faith to ask for rain in the middle of a drought. Like Honi, don’t stop at asking God to deliver them from sin. Ask God to use them in powerful ways on this earth. Ask Him to anoint them to do mighty things in His kingdom. When you pray, you are predicting your family’s future. Claim the promise: “Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ, and you shall be saved. You and your house.” Pray for His blessing and favor to be on them and for the gates of their destinies to be opened wide.
We need to start putting our marriages in a circle of prayer because there are some things that are not going to come down until somebody prays bold prayers. Take a stand for your marriage and say, “I will not leave this place of prayer. I will come back tomorrow and the next day and the next day until I see a change.”
God can level the walls of resistance that our loved ones may put up. When we pray targeted, consistent, and persistent prayers, we will see addictions, bad relationships, and sinful things broken from our family. You just have to make up your mind that you are not giving this territory up. You are going to fight for your family.
Psalms 32:7 says, “You surround me with songs of deliverance.” Psalms 34:7 says, “The angel of the Lord encamps around those who fear him, and he delivers them.” So when you draw circles around your children, they may go off to college or leave the nest, but God circles them with His angels. God already has a song of deliverance around you and your children.
Put your family in a circle of prayer today and pray bold prayers over them. They’re not too far gone, and they’re not defeated. Proclaim today: “As for me and my house, we are going to serve the Lord,” and “no weapon formed against us will prosper,” in Jesus' name. Amen.
