Dream Center Testimony | Rocio Macias
The Dream Center is changing lives every day! We are so grateful for the support of our Connection Partners that helps provide hope and healing to young people like Rocio, who are not only finding freedom from a lifestyle of addiction, but finding Jesus and eternal hope in Him. Here is Rocio’s testimony:
Life before the Dream Center was full of darkness due to my 10-year drug addiction. I ended up homeless and living on the streets. If I wasn’t getting high, I was looking for ways to make money to get high. I was constantly running from the police and living a dead-end life. My relationship with my family had become estranged because I chose drugs over them. I remember just being completely ashamed of the person I had become.
I decided to come to the Dream Center because I was empty, homeless, hopeless, and lost.
The Dream Center has given purpose to my life. Before, I only knew about God, but never personally had an intimate relationship. The family that once gave up on me has been fully restored. I am truly grateful for the opportunity to come here for a year and get my life back.
I would like to personally say thank you. Your support brings light to the darkness and hope to the hopeless. Thank you so much!
I have never felt the way I do about myself as I do now. I know my future is going to be great. I now want to go to school to become a drug and alcohol counselor. It would be an honor and a privilege to share the wisdom and knowledge I’ve gained with individuals who are in the position I was delivered from.
I truly believe that if I had waited just one more day, I would be dead or in jail.
