INSIDE OUT

For you are like whitewashed tombs which indeed appear beautiful outwardly, but inside are full of dead men’s bones and all uncleanness (Matthew 23:27 NKJV).

What is on the inside will show on the outside. When someone gets sick, that person doesn’t need training on how to make what is on the inside come out. The body knows how to do that all by itself! When you have junk inside, junk comes out. But when you have Jesus inside, Jesus comes out!

It can be easy to get caught up in the routine of religion. We can feel the pressure to be who everyone expects us to be, and forget who we should be in Christ.

We must be careful not to put so much energy into keeping up the outward appearance that it becomes just that—an exterior whitewashing to cover a withering interior.

If you sense your passion for Jesus beginning to fade, get alone with Him. Fast, pray, worship—it helps you refocus on the things that really matter. You don’t have to fake it on the outside when you are full of the Lord on the inside!

HEAR THE SOUND . . . TODAY PRAY:
Dear Lord, let my inside match my outside. Cleanse me of all hypocrisy and lawlessness. Create in me a clean heart. Fill me with Your Holy Spirit so that what comes out in my words and my actions will be a reflection of You.
