Connection Questions

The Greatest Love Story

October 2, 2015

What a beautiful thought that our God loves us at our lowest. He reaches for us even when we have chosen to run from Him. He buys us back, even when our own sins put us on display. There is never a place too far He doesn’t go to win back our hearts.

Connection questions:

  1. Briefly describe Hosea and how he can be symbolic of Christ.
  1. How are we, the body of Christ, like Gomer?
  1. What does the word Achor mean?
  1. What does God promise to give Hosea and Gomer in the Valley of Achor?
  1. What are two ways to have a great marriage? Which one is realistic?
  1. Hosea asked not to be called Master, but what?

I don’t know about you, but I am deeply grateful God’s love for me is not contingent upon performance or good works. What a beautiful reminder we have in the book of Hosea that not only did Jesus save us out of obedience, but out of love for us. A love so tested and true that nothing in this world, or the next, could separate us from it.

Connection Point:

that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may be able to comprehend with all the saints what is the width and length and depth and height to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God (Ephesians 3:17 NKJV).
