Prepared to Lead (3)

The second thing you can expect when God is developing you into a leader is exposure to “national leadership.” Moses was born in a small Hebrew village. He would have been confined there for the rest of his life. He would have never dreamed of anything big. He would have stayed in the same small neighborhood. He would have lived his entire life with a small-minded mentality. But God had to pull him out of that small thinking and literally plant him in the palace of Pharaoh, the national leader of Egypt, so that mentally he would be stretched and so that his faith would be stretched. He had to learn how to think like a leader. He couldn’t grow up with limitations on his dreams. He had to dream like a leader.

The people you surround yourself with are important. Surround yourself with leaders. Be intentional about being around people who are full of vision. Surround yourself with people who dream big dreams for God. The more you are around leaders the more your faith will stretch to believe for greater things.

Don’t ever allow people to put you in a box and tell you that you can’t do something. Don’t let what others think you are capable of determine your dreams. When God is involved, there are no limits on your life. He has called you to greatness so don’t ever let anyone else’s opinion affect that. I am desperate to impart vision into people about living a life that is more than just letting life happen.

Don’t let life and circumstances happen to you! Get up and say, “I’ve got a vision! I am going to run with this vision! If God is for me, who can be against me? All things are possible through Him!” It is time for us to start believing God for bigger things.
