Don’t Vote Against God (Part 2)

“When the foundations are being destroyed, what can the righteous do?” Psalms 11:3

In the upcoming election, we must vote based on the principles and standards of God’s holy Word. When America upholds the foundations God created regarding the sanctity of life and marriage, we will see God’s blessings come again. Another issue of great concern to God is Israel, His chosen people. In Zechariah 2:6, God says, “He who touches Israel touches the apple of my eye.” There is wickedness in high places that believe that Israel does not deserve to exist. They want them to be eradicated. Israel is in grave danger. Imagine you’re the size of New Jersey, and you’re surrounded by close to a billion people who hate you, and missiles keep flying in to blow up your city as soldiers continually barge in to take your wives and children. Bomb shelters have to be constructed near the schools just so the children can have a place to run when the attacks come.

You may think this has nothing to do with us, but these leaders want to annihilate Israel and the United States of America. Obadiah 1:10-11 says, “Because of the violence against your brother Jacob, you will be covered with shame; you will be destroyed forever. On the day you stood aloof while strangers carried off his wealth and foreigners entered his gates and cast lots for Jerusalem, you were like one of them.” God is saying that if we, the salt and light of the earth, watch our brothers suffering and sit back and do nothing, we’re just as bad as those who do it. We cannot stand aloof watching the attacks on Israel. We must have leaders who stand with Israel, lest God’s favor be taken off of this nation. We have to teach a new generation that Israel and the bond that the United States has with Israel cannot be severed. If the foundation is destroyed between America and Israel, then our economy and everything that we know of God’s blessings on America will vanish quickly.

In this election, there is no perfect person to vote for. None of the candidates running for any office are perfect. So what you have to do is stand on the absolutes. Are they pro-Israel? Are they pro-life? Are they pro-family, meaning a man and a woman, married, raising a family? Are they pro-Word of God because if we’re legalizing abominations that the Bible calls sin, God’s blessing will not be on us. The body of Christ needs to wake up. We cannot allow the culture of this world to take over and a generation to be lost.
