A chain reaction

For whatever is born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world — our faith.
-1 John 5:4

If we allow him, our enemy the python will wrap himself around us just like a chain and take away our freedom. That invisible chain may be low self-esteem, drugs, fear, depression, pornography, past failures, or some other bondage.

There will always be a reaction to the chains – negatively or positively. A negative reaction will be to continue to allow the enemy to have a choke hold on your life by staying on the path to destruction. The positive, proper reaction will be to turn to God who has already defeated the enemy.

When the enemy tries to coil those chains around you, you must have a “chain reaction.” React to whatever is holding you back by refusing to give up or give in. Praise and prayer will help you have a “chain reaction” that will allow God to break you free!

THINK ABOUT IT–
Repeat this: “I want to feel free again. I refuse these chains by praising God.”

PRAYER FOR TODAY—
Heavenly Father,
I’m tired of being wrapped up in the enemy’s chains. I claim freedom in the name of my Lord Jesus. Break every chain in my life that has been holding me back from all that You have for me. Amen.
