God's Economy System

We want to impact our generation because this is our only life in these bodies. God has called you to have an impact by serving your generation. When God raises someone up from a generation, He calls them to serve that same generation. What will you do with your life?

Key Scripture:

2 Corinthians 12:15; Acts 13:36; Ezra 3:10-13; Matthew 13:38; Haggai 2:8; Matthew 17:24; Acts 7:54-5

Key Points:

  1. The past was not that great. The farther you get away from the past, the better it seems. You forget all the bad things. Don’t dwell on the past; look toward the future.
  2. One generation picks up rocks, while another eats corn. When you make sacrifices to cultivate a field of faith, the generation after you enjoys the harvest of your obedience.
  3. God does not spend money; He spends people. God has all the silver and gold but never has money in His pocket because He uses you. God’s currency is people, not money.
  4. God will spend one person to buy another. When you are saved, God will use you to reach others like He used Stephen’s life to buy Paul the Apostle in Acts 7. If God is spending on you, be sure that He is buying someone else.

Final Thoughts:

God has called you to serve your generation. You may feel like you are picking up rocks, but someone will reap a harvest because of your sacrifice. If you feel like you are being spent, it may be because God is spending you to buy someone else. Are you willing to be spent by God?
