The Power Of The Cross (Part 2)

“And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” Isaiah 9:6

Jesus bled from His body in seven different places to heal every part of our lives. The fourth time He bled was from His back. Isaiah 53:5 says, “But He was wounded for our transgressions…and with His stripes we are healed.” Jesus was whipped, and the flesh tore from His back for the healing of your body. You can declare today that by His stripes, you are healed. He is greater than cancer, heart disease, or any other sickness that attacks the body.

The fifth time He bled was when they drove the nails in His hands. This was for the healing of your work. God wants to bless the work of your hands. You may think that what you do for a living is not spiritual, but when Jesus carried the cross, He carried it through the marketplace because He knew that was where people worked. Today, He still wants you to carry the cross to the secular marketplace and into your daily life. What you do matters. He has a mission and an assignment for you right where you are. He bled to give you meaning and purpose. He gave each of you talents and gifts, and you have something that your hands can produce that will touch people’s lives for the good.

The sixth place Jesus bled was from His feet. This was to heal your walk. Don’t let anybody tell you that you can’t get beyond your past. You can walk away from that addiction. You can move beyond that toxic relationship. You can have joy again and keep living after the loss of a loved one. You can be healed from the abuse you have endured. Whatever’s over your head is under His feet, and He gives you the power to walk out of it.

Lastly, the seventh place Jesus bled was from His side. The centurion guard stabbed Him in the side, and blood and water gushed out. In the story of Adam, God saw that he was lonely and said, “It is not good for man to be alone.” He needed a wife and a family, so God put Adam to sleep and opened up his side and reached in and pulled out a rib and created a woman. When Jesus bled from His side, He bled for the healing of our families. He can heal your marriage and your relationship with your kids. There’s nothing that has been done in your family that Jesus can’t restore. He’s not just the Prince of Peace, He’s the Prince of Pieces. Sometimes, all you have left in your home are broken pieces, but Jesus can put them back together again.
