Using Your Influence (3)

God has an eternal plan and purpose for your life. He wants to connect your dreams to His body and bring life to them. If you fail to connect your life to the Body of Christ, all of the achievements and prestige you may have built mean very little.

When God is the center of everything, you are connected to the Body of Christ in a very special way. If you want to succeed in life, keep your marriage, family, career, ambitions, and desires connected to Jesus Christ. God wants to stay connected to every part of your life.

Frankly, your life is void and worthless if you are not connected to the Body of Christ. In the end, that connection is what matters. According to 1 Thessalonians 4, we will ultimately be connected with God and with the body.

For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of an archangel, and with the trumpet of God. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And thus we shall always be with the Lord. Therefore comfort one another with these words (1 Thessalonians 4:16-18).

Recall from Matthew 27: 59, once Joseph of Arimathea received the Body of Christ, he covered it in clean linen. If you are going to be involved in the Body of Christ, make sure you are cleansed by the blood. Make sure your actions add to the purity, cleanliness, and holiness of the Body of Christ. Don’t defile the Body of Christ with sin.
