God’s Tiny Details (Part 2)

“Look at the lilies and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon, in all his glory, was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for flowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, He will certainly care for you.”  Luke 12:27-28

Jesus provided eternal life at Calvary, but it didn’t stop there. Psalms 68:19 says, “Blessed be the Lord God that daily loadeth us down with benefits.” Every day, He sees us and takes care of our needs. Daily, He loads us down with his help. He’s into the details.

Da Vinci is famous for his paintings because they are so intricately detailed. There is a condition known in science and medicine that allows a person to see details that ordinary people cannot see. Babe Ruth, a great baseball player, also had this same condition. When he saw the baseball coming, he could see even the red threads coming at him at 96 miles an hour.

Da Vinci and Babe Ruth had that kind of eye for details, but God has an even more incredible eye. He can see deeper than anybody can see inside your home, life, and situations that you may think He doesn’t know about. He’s working things out that you can’t even imagine because He’s the God of details.

Big writing is important in contracts, but everyone knows to pay particular attention to the fine print. The small details matter, and nobody’s in the details more than God. He knows when you sit down and when you stand up. He knows your address. He knows your children, and He knows your grandchildren. He knows every detail of your family. He is involved in everything. Matthew 10:29-30 says, “Are not two sparrows sold for a penny? Yet not one of them will fall to the ground outside your Father’s care. And even the very hairs of your head are all numbered.” God cares about you and everything that is going on in your life.
