Don’t Compromise

But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him. Hebrews 11:6

I cannot express enough how a lifestyle of fasting and prayer will help you build the kind of endurance you need to stay focused and victorious in life. When you set your mind that you will not compromise during a fast, you’re building confidence that will carry you through the trials and battles that come.

You will learn that not only can you get through a few days of fasting, but when temptation arises in your life—and pleads with you to compromise your dreams, your morals, even your faith—you will have the confidence to say, “NO! I made up my mind to follow God no matter where that journey takes me”.

Just read about all the ordinary people who did extraordinary things for God listed in Hebrews 11. They never lost the vision. In the toughest times they refused to turn back. By faith they lived and pressed on. Don’t compromise when things get tough. Your diligence will be rewarded.

God has a destiny for you that your choices and your response to Him will unlock. As you fast, pray for God to define His plans and direction for your life. I truly believe fasting accelerates your destiny—it gets you there faster! I believe that’s why our church paid off its current building in just five years and why our campus in California grew from a few hundred to a few thousand in such a short amount of time.

Make fasting and prayer a part of your lifestyle to develop the confidence and endurance you need to succeed. You have to use wisdom when fasting. But once you have your plan, use determination and don’t compromise.
