What You See Is What You Get

“Then the Lord answered me and said, 'Write the vision and make it plain on tablets, that he may run who reads it.'" Habakkuk 2:2 (NKJV)

God has a vision for your life. A real, specific purpose He wants you to walk in. But to live it, you first have to see it.

In Habakkuk 2, the prophet says, “I will stand my watch, I will set myself on the tower, and I will watch to see what He will say to me.” Notice that. He does not just say he will listen to what God says. He says he will watch to see what God will say. That means God’s Word is not just something you hear with your ears; it is something you must see with your spirit.

Vision is not about where you are right now. It is the ability to see a day you have not yet entered into.

Vision from God is a picture of your future that is shaped by His promise, not your past.

It is seeing yourself healed, whole, clean, and free. It is seeing your marriage restored, your children saved, your purpose lived out. And once you get that picture in your heart, you guard it. You focus on it. You hold it so tightly that no distraction can pull you away.

You get what you see. That is the principle. If you only see defeat, you will walk in defeat. But if you see what God sees, you will run in the direction of your calling. That is why God told Habakkuk to write the vision and make it plain. Once it is clear to you, you can move toward it with confidence.

Maybe God has already spoken something over your life. He has said you are forgiven, loved, called, and chosen. But if you do not see yourself that way, it will never feel real. Today, God is inviting you to stop just hearing His Word and start seeing it. Get a picture of who you are in Christ. Not one day in heaven, but right now. You are righteous, redeemed, and fully accepted - not because of your performance but because of your faith in Jesus.

So take your stand, look again, and ask God to show you what He is saying. Because when you see it, you can start walking in it. You get what you see.
