It’s Turnaround Time!
“He looked up at the window and called out, ‘Who is on my side? Who?’” 2 Kings 9:32
Now that the election is over, there is a temptation for the church to sit down and disconnect. But this is not a time to relax. In this moment, God has given us a window of opportunity. And He's saying to the church, “Stand up!” We can turn this nation around. We can turn schools and colleges around. It’s time to wake up the church. God has given us an opportunity because time is running out. Democrats nor Republicans can’t fix this nation. The only thing that can fix this nation is the power of the Lord hitting our churches and awakening us in such a manner that revival spreads across this land. We're in a race for the harvest, and the church must receive a fresh anointing to turn this nation and our families around. We have to get back to the Bible, church, holy living, and revering God.
In 2 Kings 9, Jehu had just been anointed by the prophet of God to become the next king and to end the evil reign of Ahab and Jezebel. As soon as he received this “turnaround anointing,” Jehu got on his horse and rode for the city. When he arrived there, Joram saw Jehu and asked, “Have you come in peace, Jehu?” Jehu responded, “How can there be peace as long as all the idolatry and witchcraft of your mother Jezebel abound?” And then Jehu shot an arrow through the heart of Joram and killed him. After that, he went to Jezebel's home, and as Jehu entered the gate, she asked, “Have you come in peace, you murderer of your master?” He looked at the window and called, “Who is on my side? Who?” Two or three eunuchs looked down at him. “Throw her down!” Jehu said. So they threw her down, and she died in her reign of wickedness.
The Bible teaches about the spirit of Jezebel. Jesus said this spirit would show up in the last days. It's a spirit of sexual perversion, rebellion, and witchcraft. It is a spirit that is a counterfeit anointing, and Jesus said it would show up in the church. We see this in one of the churches in Revelation. God said (paraphrased), “I have seen your good works, but I have this against you. You have been seduced, preachers and churches, by the spirit of Jezebel.” When you stand in the pulpit and refuse to stand up for babies’ lives, you are under a counterfeit anointing. When you stand and say marriage between a man and a woman is not the only kind of marriage, you are being misled. God never said, “Come to church and live like you are.” He says, “Come to church and turn around and follow me, and I'll give you eternal life.”
God is asking today, “Who's on the Lord's side?” We need pastors who won’t change their message because the culture has changed. We need churches to teach repentance that leads to living according to the Word of God. It's the turnaround time for America. It's the turnaround time for your business and your finances. It's a turnaround time for your character and your consecration to God. It's time for America to turn around and follow the Lord again.
