His Hands

“I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.—John 15:5

Hands on hands. The strength of the young, the direction of the old. The zeal of the young, the wisdom of the old. The hands on hands represents supernatural hands. Supernatural hands coming on natural hands.

That’s what we see happening in 2 Kings 13:14-19, like we talked about yesterday. When Joash, the king of, Elisha told him to take a bow and arrows and put his hand on the bow. Joash did as Elisha said and with Elisha’s hand on Joash’s, they shot an arrow out of the window and Elisha told Joash it was “the arrow of the Lord’s deliverance.”

When you fast and you pray, it’s not just you standing there; it’s the Holy Spirit putting His supernatural hands on your hands. Elisha represents the supernatural power of God. It requires hands on your hands to raise a family. It requires hands on your hands to build a successful business. It requires hands on your hands to have a ministry that touches people and saves lives.

I’m scared to death to go into this year just with my hands and my bow and my arrow and what I think I can do. I thank God that when we fast and pray, His hands come on our hands and He gives us complete victory.

We have become so politically correct in the church that we think all God’s capable of is what our little hands can do. But I wonder what would happen if the Holy Spirit put His hands on our hands and we prayed for the sick or someone’s business?

Ask God for His hands on your hands this year. His nail scarred hands on your shaking scared hands. He will bless the work of your hands through this fast, in Jesus name.
