Draw Near

But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you (Matthew 6:33 NKJV).

When you put God first and seek Him, your needs will be met. He will give you the desires of your heart. Those specific needs you’re praying for . . . He knows. Not only does He know, He cares. Even if your situation isn’t changing yet—you’re changing. And that can change your situation more than you realize!

You’re not losing anything by gaining a deeper relationship with Christ. As you draw near to Him, He draws near to you. He already knows all there is to know about you, but as you grow more intimate with Him, you begin to understand His ways and recognize His voice. You begin to see clearly new evidence of His hand at work all around you where you were unaware before.

One of the most powerful ways to gain a deeper relationship with Christ is to fast. Fasting brings spiritual transformation as you draw closer to God. I hear testimonies all the time from people who began to fast for a specific need or prayer focus, and after just a few days of emptying themselves in worship, they realize something beautiful . . . God called them to fast, simply to draw them nearer to Him.

HEAR THE SOUND . . . TODAY PRAY:
Show me Your ways, O Lord; teach me Your paths. Lead me in Your truth and teach me, for You are the God of my salvation; On You I wait all the day (Psalm 25:4-5 NKJV).
