Your Stain Is Your Story
“But we are all like an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are like filthy rags.” Isaiah 64:6 (NKJV)
You may have looked at your past and thought, “There is no way God can use me.” Maybe you carry a stain that seems too deep, too old, or too painful. But God looks at your life and says, “I want that one.” He does not just keep the gold and silver people who seem perfect. He keeps the torn and the stained ones, too. The truth is, He treasures the pile of rotten rags just as much as the glittering gold.
When you have been through something, when your heart has been bruised and your life marked, you understand pain in a way that untouched people never could. That is why God wants to use you to reach those who are still trapped in their pit. The same dungeon that almost destroyed you may be the very place where you help lift someone else out. You can look them in the eye and say, “I know how it feels. I was there. But God brought me out, and He can do the same for you.”
The enemy will try to convince you that your stain is your shame. He will call you broken, addicted, bankrupt, or forgotten. But what the world calls a stain, God calls a testimony. Your stain is proof of His mercy. Your pain becomes the rope that lifts others up. That is why He rescued you—not just to save you, but to send you back into dark places with the light of hope.
Joseph was prideful. Moses was a murderer. Rahab was a prostitute. The Samaritan woman was divorced many times. Yet every one of them became a rescuer, a vessel of grace. God turns rags into royalty. He takes the ruined and makes them radiant.
So tie your story to someone else’s. When believers join together, linking testimonies and prayers, we form a lifeline strong enough to pull entire families out of despair.
Do not waste your pain. Do not hide your scars. Tell your story and let your stain become the proof of His love.
Prayer: Lord, thank You for choosing me, even with all my stains. Thank You for washing me and giving my pain a purpose. Use my story to lift others out of their pits. Let every scar tell of Your grace. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
