Don’t Die In The “Why?”
“Though He slay me, yet will I trust in Him.” -Job 13:15
You will see yourself at some point in the book of Job. Do you trust God when hard times hit?
Job could have spent his entire life questioning “why” he endured such pain and suffering. Instead of dying in a “why,” he prayed for his friends, released forgiveness, and moved into his divine purpose.
Jesus also asked, “Why have you forsaken me?” as He hung on the cross. Jesus could have died in a “why,” but instead, He moved forward and said, “Father, forgive them, for they know not what they do.” His heart of forgiveness moved his “why” mentality to a mindset that fulfilled His eternal purpose.
At some point, we will all have questions about the obstacles and challenges we are facing. But we can’t “die in our why.” We have to forgive and move forward in our story. God may not answer your why, but if you release forgiveness, you will move toward the purpose of the pain you have gone through. Even if nothing makes sense and you feel forsaken by God, keep praying and forgiving. He has a great future planned for your life. Don’t die waiting for a why.
