Standing Together in Memory and Action on International Holocaust Remembrance Day
Today, on International Holocaust Remembrance Day, we pause to remember the six million Jewish lives lost during the Holocaust and to honor the survivors who carry that memory with courage, dignity, and resilience.
Remembrance is not only about reflecting on the past, but it is also a responsibility in the present. As leaders in Israel have reminded the world, the Holocaust serves as a solemn warning of what happens when hatred is ignored, when evil is rationalized, and when the Jewish people are left without protection. Recent history, including the tragic events of October 7th, shows that antisemitism has not disappeared. Hatred can resurface, brutal and unashamed, when it is not confronted, and the trauma of survivors reminds us that vigilance and compassion remain vital.
We are committed to turning remembrance into action. It is because of the faithful support of our partners that we are able to stand with Israel and Holocaust survivors in tangible ways. Through your generosity, we provide Holiday and Shabbat meal boxes to survivors, small but powerful reminders that they are seen, valued, and loved.
We invite you to watch this brief video that captures the heart behind these boxes and the impact your support makes possible.
On this sacred day, we recommit ourselves to:
-
Honoring the survivors and preserving their stories
-
Comforting those who carry deep wounds and grief
-
Speaking truth in the face of hatred
-
Standing firmly for life, dignity, and justice
Your continued partnership allows remembrance to lead to action, faith to lead to courage, and compassion to lead to hope. Together, we declare that darkness will not have the final word.
Thank you for standing with Israel and with Holocaust survivors, today and every day.
