What You See Is What You Get
Sermon Notes
Vision is the ability to see a day you have yet to enter into; it’s what you focus on. Without it, you will perish. But when you have a vision and focus on it, you can become disciplined enough to achieve it.
Key Scriptures:
Habakkuk 2:1-3; Proverbs 29:18; Proverbs 23:7; Genesis 13:14-17; I Kings 18:46
Key Points:
- See the vision. See what God says about you. See yourself healed, free, victorious, forgiven, saved, and blessed. The way you see yourself will determine who you become. What God says about you will make what others say about you irrelevant.
- Walk by faith and wait for the vision. When your faith is high, it’s easy to see and believe it. But when you step into the reality of life, you must stay focused on the vision God has given you. You must walk out the vision God has given you.
- There are obstacles to your vision. When you get a vision, there will be obstacles you must overcome. You must overcome your:
- Present circumstances. The reality of where you are now will not line up with the vision God has given you. But your present circumstances cannot limit your vision from God. Write down the vision God has given you to always remind yourself of what God has spoken to you.
- Present resources. You will never have the money you need to get the vision done at first. God will give you the vision and then the provision. Deep vision calls out to deep resources. You go, and God will show it to you.
- Present self. You are your biggest obstacle, not the Devil. In the vision God gives you, you are always someone more capable than who you are right now. By the time the vision comes to pass, you will be someone else. You have a future self!
- Start moving. Pick a direction, and God will bless the work of your hands. There’s nothing the Devil has done to you that can’t be worked out for your good. The only thing that can stop the vision is you not seeing it and walking it out. God will give you everything you can see, so always see more and dream bigger!
Final Thoughts:
God has a dream for you. It’s not just an earthly dream for worldly success and material possessions, but a heavenly dream that will reach people for the Kingdom of God. When you get a dream, it’s only real to you. So, don’t expect the people around you to understand why you’re walking the way you are. Don’t stop seeing and walking out the dream God has given you because it will make an eternal difference when you accomplish it.
