One of Israel's most celebrated generals, standing with exhausted, outnumbered troops, gave an order that still echoes today: "Defend the gates of Jerusalem at all costs."
He understood what the ancient world knew and we have nearly forgotten. The gate is everything. The gate is where business is done, where families are protected, and where the enemy is stopped before he reaches the innocent.
Within minutes of the Gaza border, 2,500 children live and attend school under constant threat of anti-tank missiles and cross-border attacks. The Eshkol Wall of Protection is their gate. It is where we draw the line. And with your help, it is covered not only in steel-reinforced concrete, but in the Word of God.

The Eshkol Wall of Protection
Defending the Gate. Physical and Spiritual Protection for Children in Eshkol, Israel.
This wall is being constructed along the most vulnerable edge of the school campus, overlooking Gaza. This is directly along the route the buses travel, and where the children load and unload each day. Built with over 4.5 million pounds of reinforced concrete and more than 200,000 pounds of structural steel to guard against anti-tank missiles and ground attacks. Now we're covering the wall with spiritual protection as well—God's Word! Each day not only will children see the wall, they will see scripture and be reminded of God's promises of hope and protection. They will be reminded, they are not alone. We stand with them. We stand to protect the innocent children of Israel.
