The Storm Is Coming. But You Don't Have to Be In It

Because you have kept my word about patient endurance, I will keep you from the hour of trial that is coming on the whole world." — Revelation 3:10

One of the most sobering things about studying the end times is realizing just how bad it's going to get, and one of the most encouraging things is realizing you don't have to be there for it.

The Bible doesn't sugarcoat the Tribulation. After the Rapture, the book of Revelation describes a series of events that would make even the most hardened person stop cold. An Antichrist rises, not on a dark horse with obvious evil, but on a white horse, imitating Jesus, deceiving the world with the appearance of peace and order. He consolidates military power. The global economy reshapes around his authority. And the world, desperate for stability, follows him.

For those left behind, the deception will be almost impossible to see through, because it will look like salvation. It will look like someone finally has the answers.

This is why Jesus warned His followers to be discerning now. Not so we'd be afraid, but so we'd be awake.

But here is the word that should make your heart leap this morning: from. Not through. Revelation 3:10 says God will keep the faithful from the hour of trial, not simply carry them through it, but spare them from it entirely. The Church isn't appointed for that season. We are the restraining force holding back the full weight of darkness, and when God removes us, everything changes.

That means right now, today, is a remarkable moment in history. You are living in the age of grace. The door is still open. Mercy is still available. The Holy Spirit is still moving, convicting, and drawing people to Jesus. And you are part of that.

Every day you live fully surrendered to God, you participate in the restraint of evil in this world. Your prayers matter. Your witness matters. The way you love your neighbor, show up at your church, raise your kids in faith, it all has cosmic weight.

Don't sleepwalk through this season. The storm is coming, but you have been called to live in the light before the storm arrives. That is an extraordinary privilege.

Be grateful for today. Be awake. Be ready.

Don't waste that.

TODAY'S PRAYER

Father, I don't take the grace of living on this side of the Tribulation lightly. Thank You for mercy that is still reaching people, still healing hearts, still drawing the lost home. Help me not to waste this season. Give me eyes to see the people around me who need to know You, and give me the courage to point them to Jesus. Amen.

REFLECTION

Think of one person in your life who doesn't yet know Jesus. Pray for them specifically today, by name, with faith, believing that God's grace is still reaching them.
