The 1000x More Anointing
“May the Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are and bless you as He has promised you!” Deuteronomy 1:11
In Deuteronomy 1, Moses tells the people they have dwelt at this mountain long enough. Maybe you feel like you have been in circles for a long time. It could be that you have been grieving far too long or been in failure mode long enough. Maybe you have been struggling with addiction for a long time. Today, you can experience a breakthrough and a new season in your life.
Moses told the people that God had “set a land before them to have.” And then he said, “May the Lord God of your fathers make you a thousand times more numerous than you are, and bless you as He has promised you!” (Deuteronomy 1:11) Moses was telling them that God had been good to them in the past and present, but God had so much more in store for their future.
The anointing of a thousand times more is a fantastic promise! And this promise is for you today! God’s dream is so much bigger than your little thinking. It’s far more significant than what you are capable of. When God anoints you, His enablement comes on you, and suddenly, you can do things that nobody else can do because He is infusing you with supernatural power.
Samson had a thousand times more anointing in his life. He took the jawbone of a donkey and defeated 1,000 Philistines. He was just an ordinary man, but when God’s spirit touched him, he was able to accomplish the impossible. There came a time in his life when he turned away from God and lost his anointing. The enemy was able to go and capture him. As he was blinded, mocked, and tied to two pillars, he cried out for God’s anointing once more. God heard and surged him with supernatural strength, and when the thousand times more anointing came upon him, he pulled the enemy’s temple down and killed thousands more of the Philistines than he ever had before.
Gideon also functioned with this kind of anointing. In Judges 6, God told Gideon to reduce the number of his soldiers. He didn’t want him to think his strength was in numbers but instead in the anointing that He would give. God reduced Gideon’s army to 300 soldiers who would face 300,000 Amalekites. And when those few soldiers walked into the battle with God’s anointing, the enemies were thrown into chaos, turned on themselves, and the battle was won.
Make this declaration today: “I have the anointing of a thousand times more on my life. I will supernaturally increase and expand in every area of my life. There are no limits or boundaries to what God can do through me.”
