Pray Fast Vote

Four million. That’s how many evangelical Christians did NOT vote in the last presidential election. You may think ONE individual vote doesn’t make a difference—but 4,000,000 individuals can determine an election.

Are you in the silent majority? Even though we are the majority in America—our values, our morals and our beliefs represent the majority—yet we have grown to believe our vote doesn’t count, or worse we have allowed a handful of elite social icons to silence our voices.

I want to stir in your hearts such indignity that none of us can continue watching from the sidelines. I believe America is crying out to the Church. Like a rebellious teenager pushing all the limits and crossing every boundary in search of one reason they should stop, our country has come knocking at the threshold of our door looking for truth and life. It’s time we answer the call to respond.

I am fully aware of the horrendous acts of violence and religious genocide taking place in countries across the globe while you and I STILL have the right to worship. But don’t fool yourself, as a nation we are not exempt from such horror, and it begins with silencing the Church. I believe that is where we are. We are moments away from losing our religious liberties.

We’ve stood by and watched private businesses be attacked by liberal media and our courts for upholding Christian values. Pray has become a four-letter word in public schools and government functions. The sanctity of life has been reduced to a line item in a party platform under the guise of a woman’s rights. And now racism rears its head in violent, murderous, malicious acts. So many people are asking what can I do?

Right now, I believe our first action is to VOTE. There are non-negotiable issues we as Christians must stand behind. I do not think either presidential candidate is perfect. I believe, like you and me, they are both flawed. I will make my choice based on what the Bible says about the issues I feel are urgent to protecting the future of our nation. We must vote pro-life, pro-Israel, pro-morality based on God’s Word. When you do not vote, you’re silencing the voice God gave you. Your one vote counts. It matters! Combined with 4,000,000 + other evangelical Christians, it can literally turn our nation around! Don’t just vote, rally your family and your friends to vote! Do not stay silent while the hands of our nation are desperately reaching for answers.

In the story from Judges 19 that you’ll hear in my message Fast Pray Vote it took a nation to stand against the perversion of a few men. They had to consider what lay ahead if they did nothing, unify forces to stand against the evil, and then take action to defeat the enemy. That’s where we are.

1. Consider It. Take a look at the reality of what is going on around you. Where is this nation headed from a Biblical perspective?

2. Take Counsel. Stop bickering among yourselves, those who are in favor of Christ, and unify against our true enemy. People are not our enemy, wickedness and forces of darkness are our enemy and our weapons are not carnal but spiritual.

3. Speak Up. Turn your thoughts and convictions into words and your words into actions and make your voice heard in this election.

We may be far from the country we were created to be. But I believe there is yet greatness within us! Great leaders have come and gone in our country and left a legacy we can continue if we are willing. God spoke to Joshua after Moses had died, and I believe His words ring true to us today:

No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor forsake you. Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers to give them. Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper wherever you go . . . . Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go.  —Joshua 1:5-7, 9
