Are you ready?

“For this we say unto you by the word of the Lord, that we which are alive and remain unto the coming of the Lord shall not prevent them which are asleep.” 1 Thessalonians 4:15 (KJV)

This is not opinion, this is not speculation, and this is not something passed down by man. The Scripture says, “by the word of the Lord.” That means Jesus Himself declared it. He said there is coming a moment when He will gather His people, and nothing in this world will stop it. It is a promise from the mouth of God, not a theory from the mind of man. The Bible is clear that we are not appointed unto wrath. There is coming a time of judgment on the earth, but the church of Jesus Christ is not destined for destruction. The moment the church is taken, everything changes instantly. Millions will vanish without warning. One moment normal life, the next moment absolute confusion. People will look for loved ones who are gone. Entire systems will begin to collapse. Economies will shake. Nations will panic. What was stable will suddenly be unstable.

And immediately after that removal, the Bible says the restrainer is gone. The Holy Spirit working through the church is that restraining force. When the church is taken out, restraint is lifted. And when restraint is lifted, evil is no longer held back. The Antichrist will rise, deception will spread, and the world will enter a seven-year period of tribulation unlike anything it has ever seen. Jesus warned of this in Luke 17 when He said, “two shall be in one bed, the one shall be taken, and the other shall be left.” One taken, one left. One in the field, one taken, one left. One grinding, one taken, one left. Life continuing normally, then suddenly interrupted by eternity. The difference is not location; it is readiness.

That is why scripture warns us to watch. Matthew 24:42 says, “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” No man knows the day or the hour. History has proven that date setting is always false. Jesus said only the Father knows, because if people knew the exact moment, they would delay their repentance and live carelessly until the last possible moment. But God has called His people to live ready, not guessing, but prepared. Jesus compared it to the days of Noah. People were eating, drinking, marrying, and living normal lives until the flood came and took them all away. Nothing seemed unusual until it was too late. Normal life does not mean safe life. Routine does not mean readiness. So the call of Christ is simple but urgent. Be ready. Be watchful. Be right with God. Because in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, everything can change. And when He calls, those who are His will go with Him.

Prayer: Lord Jesus, keep my heart ready for Your coming. Let me not be distracted by this world or lulled into spiritual sleep. Help me to live in holiness, awareness, and faithfulness until the day You return. Amen.
