We Stand With Israel (Part 2)
“I will bless those who bless you, and whoever curses you I will curse.” Genesis 12:3 (NIV)
Open your Bible for a moment and run your finger across Genesis twelve verse three. God promised Abraham, “I will bless those who bless you.” That single sentence still echoes through history, and it reaches right into our lives today.
Imagine a world without the Jewish people. There would be no Abraham or Moses to teach faith and freedom. No apostles recording the footsteps of Jesus. There would be no covenant, no scripture, no Savior, and no salvation. That thought alone should stir gratitude deep in your heart.
Yet headlines shout curses. Crowds chant “Death to Israel” on campuses and city streets. Fear shadows families who wear a Star of David. In this loud hour God whispers to you, “Bless what I have blessed.”
When you choose to pray and support the people of Israel, you align yourself with God’s ancient promise.
Prophecy backs up that promise. Sixteen major predictions frame Israel’s story. Thirteen have already happened with pinpoint accuracy: slavery in Egypt, the Exodus with Egypt’s wealth, exile, return, the destruction of both temples, scattering among the nations, and the nation regathering in our lifetime. Only three remain: a global storm of nations against Jerusalem, a supernatural revelation of Jesus to the Jewish people, and the final rescue when He returns. If thirteen out of sixteen have unfolded exactly as written, the last three will not fail.
Here is the sobering part. First Thessalonians 4 says that before that worldwide war breaks loose, the Lord Himself will descend and the church will be caught up. Your time to stand faithful is now, not later. Blessing Israel is not politics. It is obedience. It is preparation. It is love for the very roots of your salvation. So pray for the peace of Jerusalem. Speak up when others speak hate. Support ministries that shelter children and rebuild ruined towns along the Gaza border. You may never visit the land, but your prayers can circle it every day. God sees and God rewards. When you honor His covenant people, He pours covenant blessing back into your life.
