This Is Your Last Meal in Egypt

“So you shall eat it in haste. It is the Lord’s Passover.” Exodus 12:11 (NKJV)

Anybody can praise God when the waters part and the enemy is swallowed up. But the real test is praising Him when the enemy is still chasing you, the sea has not opened yet, and you do not see a way forward. That is when you grab your tambourine and lift your praise anyway, because you know the God of Moses is your God too.

Like Moses, you have the “rod of God” in your hand. That is authority to speak to every Red Sea and every wall and declare, “You cannot stop me anymore.” That is why you must get your shoes on and expect an Exodus. Matthew 16:19 says, “And I will give you the keys to the kingdom of heaven, and whatever you bind on earth will be bound in heaven, and whatever you loose on earth will be loosed in heaven.” You have God given authority!

Some people treat a season like it is the whole story. It is not.

Your season is just a chapter.

And if you have been barefoot spiritually, comfortable in hurt, bitterness, or fear, it is time to change that. God is saying, “This is your last meal in Egypt.” Eat it with the awareness that the bitter days are over. When God’s people ate that final Passover in Egypt, they ate it with their shoes on, their staff in their hand, and their garments tucked up so they could move fast. Why? Because when God moves, He moves suddenly. If you are not ready, you could miss the moment.

It is time to cast off every weight that keeps tripping you up - old grievances, past failures, fear of change. You are not staying here. You are not raising your family here. You are not building your life in the house of bondage. This is moving day.

Joy is not just a feeling. Joy is the outward expression of an inward expectation. It says, “I am going somewhere.” So praise Him before you see it. Dance before the waters part. Celebrate before the breakthrough arrives. God is calling you to step out of sorrow into gladness, out of defeat into victory, out of Egypt into the land flowing with milk and honey. So get your shoes on, get your staff in your hand, and get your garment ready. You are headed to a new place.

Prayer: Lord, thank you for reminding me that this is not my final place. Help me to put on my shoes of readiness and hold my staff of authority with confidence. I cast off every heaviness, every sin, every fear that has kept me in bondage. I step forward in faith, expecting you to lead me into freedom, blessing, and joy. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
