The Greatest Blessing Is God in Your Home
“Who shall ascend the hill of the Lord? And who shall stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, who does not lift up his soul to what is false… he shall receive blessing from the Lord.” Psalm 24:3-5
We live in a world that tries to measure blessing by what we own - cars, houses, titles, or money. But the Bible gives us a different perspective. The greatest blessing is not in what you have; it’s in who lives in your home. Obededom experienced it firsthand. When the Ark of the Covenant stayed in his house, his family was changed. God’s presence brought love, joy, and peace, and it set a spiritual pattern that lasted 62 generations.
Think about that. One family, devoted to God, passing down the blessing for over two centuries. Not one child or grandchild walked away from the faith. That’s what matters. Not wealth, not status, not comfort, but the presence of God in your home and the lives of your children.
A home filled with God’s presence is a refuge. Strife, anger, bitterness, and sin cannot thrive there when His Spirit rules. And like Obededom, when a parent falls in love with God’s presence, the children follow. The blessing multiplies. And you can start today.
It doesn’t matter where your family has been or what your past looks like. You can invite God into your home. Open His Word. Pray together. Speak blessings over each other.
Teach your children to love the Lord with all their hearts.
Let His presence saturate every room, every conversation, and every meal. That is the real treasure. That is the legacy that lasts for generations.
Prayer: Lord, I want an Obededom home. I want Your presence to fill my house, to touch my children, and to bless generations yet to come. Teach me to prioritize You above all else. Let love, peace, and joy reign in my home. May every member of my family fall in love with You, and may Your blessing remain with us for generations. Amen.
