Take the Leap

“And it happened, when Elizabeth heard the greeting of Mary, that the babe leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit.” Luke 1:41 (NKJV)

There is power in purpose, even before you take your first breath. John the Baptist was born with a prophecy over his life. Isaiah and Malachi spoke centuries before his arrival, foretelling that a messenger would prepare the way for the Messiah. Yet John did not wait to fulfill that calling until adulthood. In the womb, when Mary, carrying Jesus, greeted Elizabeth, the baby leaped for joy. He recognized the presence of the Lord and responded to his assignment before he even saw the light of day.

This story reminds us that God’s plans are in motion long before we realize it. Just like John, you have a divine purpose woven into your very being. Psalm 139 tells us that God knew you before you were formed in the womb. Your talents, your assignment, and your call are not accidents. You may feel small or unprepared, but the seed of your calling is alive inside you, waiting for your faith to bring it into action.

You are not too young or too old to begin moving in your purpose. John did not wait for approval, for experience, or for perfect timing. He leapt at the presence of God. Likewise, God calls you to recognize His presence in your life today and respond. Worship with abandon. Speak His Word boldly. Step into action even when the world says you are not ready. Faith recognizes God’s assignment and leaps into it.

Imagine the joy that filled John when he sensed Jesus near. That same joy can fill you when you open your heart to God’s plan. Your leap may not be literal, but your heart, your hands, and your life can move in obedience to God’s purpose. Every act of faith, every prayer, and every step in alignment with His calling is a leap toward what He created you to do.

Do not wait for someone else to give you permission or for the “perfect” season. Start today. Step into your calling with boldness and joy. God has prepared your leap, and He is ready to use you to impact your generation.

Prayer: Lord, awaken the purpose inside me. Help me to recognize Your presence and respond with faith and joy. Let me not wait for the perfect moment, but leap into Your calling with courage. Fill me with boldness to move in obedience and let my life bring glory to Your name. In Jesus’ name, amen.
