It’s Turnaround Time! (Part 3)
“Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord…” Acts 3:19
Do you know that the Titanic was called a ship that was engineered so brilliantly that it was “unsinkable?” That's what many people think about America. But America can fall if we don't have a spiritual turnaround in this nation. No politician can change the direction we're going. Yes, we must pray for them, but our hope cannot be in any man or woman. Our hope is in the power of God’s Holy Spirit, which will be poured out in the last days.
What the people on the Titanic did not know was that they were racing across the icy Atlantic Ocean to doom and destruction. An iceberg was waiting that would drown 1,500 plus people in the icy, dark waters of the ocean. It is heartbreaking that 12 times they were sent warnings. The messages were just two words- “Change course.” They would sail along another few miles and get the same message, and then a few miles later, another one. This continued over and over, and at one point, despite the warnings, they even increased speed into the very place they were told not to go!
The Holy Spirit is saying to America, “Change course.” He's warning us to turn around. He’s calling the prodigals back home. Many are going in the wrong direction.,The spirit of the world is deceiving them but there's no other name, and there’s no other way. You must go through Jesus and the cross and the blood, or you are forever doomed in eternity. God is giving warning after warning. We must change course.
These are unusual times. There is a spiritual stirring going on in America. God has allowed this change to come for a reason. This is the time to get filled with God’s spirit and really make a change. Young person, you can be the turning point for your high school. Father or mother, you can be the turning point for your family. Employee, you can spark a turning to God in your workplace. Jesus is coming back soon, and we have no time to waste. So many are still lost, and we must reach them before it is too late.
