He’s The God Of The Valley (Part 2)
"You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives." Genesis 50:20 (NIV)
Life has a way of throwing obstacles in our path, causing detours, confusion, and pain. But here’s what I want you to hold onto today: No heartbreak, no trauma, no word spoken against you or over you, no failure, no bitterness—nothing—can separate you from the love of God. The enemy may try to distract you, to deflect you from your path. But he cannot stop you. He can only delay you.
Joseph’s story shows us this truth clearly. Sold into slavery by his own brothers, falsely accused, and thrown into prison, he had every reason to give up. Yet, God was with him every step of the way. God made him fruitful even in the land of suffering. God made him forget his troubles and use those trials for good.
Joseph was able to say to his brothers after their father’s death, “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good.” He ran his race well, and so can you. Hebrews 12 encourages us to throw off everything that hinders us—the sin, the pain, the trauma that entangles us like yeast—and to run with perseverance the race marked out for us. We fix our eyes not on the pain or the diagnosis but on Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith. He endured the cross, the shame, and the hurt so that we could be restored and put back on course.
Maybe you’ve been knocked off your path. Maybe you feel lost, broken, or like you’ve fallen away. But God is calling you back. He says, “You are chosen. You are mine. Nothing can separate you from my love.” Today, consider Him. Remember what He endured so you don’t lose heart.
The cross wasn’t just for your forgiveness—it’s for your restoration and your perseverance.
Pray today: “Lord, thank You for never letting me go, even when I stumble or get knocked off course. Help me to throw off everything that slows me down or holds me back. Fix my eyes on you, the author and finisher of my faith. Give me perseverance to run the race you have marked out for me. Thank you that nothing can separate me from your love. I trust you to bring good out of every hardship. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
