He Knows
“But Jesus knew their thoughts.” Matthew 12:25 (KJV)
You ever get the feeling that no one really understands what you’re going through? Do you ever feel like God has forgotten about you? Here’s the truth: Jesus knows. He knows what’s in your heart, what’s on your mind, and exactly where you are right now. The Bible tells us over and over that Jesus knows what people are thinking. When the Pharisees accused Him of casting out demons by the devil, Jesus knew their thoughts. When He healed a man’s withered hand on the Sabbath, He knew the crowd was just waiting to criticize Him.
Think about that. Jesus isn’t surprised by your doubts or your fears. He isn’t shocked by your pain or your situation. The book of John says that Jesus knew the man at the pool who had been waiting to be healed for 38 years. He knew how long that man had suffered, and He knew exactly what he needed. And Jesus still knows every detail, every season, and every struggle of your story.
And He knows the hearts of those around you, too. He knows who truly believes and who doesn’t. He knows who will walk away and who will stay close. But the good news is that He loves you in the middle of it all. He knows your heart. He sees the real you beneath all the surface and beyond what anyone else can see.
Maybe you’ve been hiding some things, or pretending everything’s okay. Maybe you’re worried about what Jesus will say when He looks at you. But don’t fear. Jesus knows. And if He knows, that means He can meet you right where you are, with love and grace to help you change and grow.
So don’t try to fool Him or hide from Him. Let Him into your heart.
He’s not just watching from a distance. He’s close. He’s right there with you. And He knows exactly what you need.
Prayer: Lord, thank you that you know me completely. You know my thoughts, my heart, and my struggles. Help me to be honest with you and to trust that you love me just as I am. Teach me to open my heart to your grace and to live with the confidence that you are always with me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
