Dream Bigger (Part Two)

"Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin." Zechariah 4:10 (NLT)

Do not despise the day of small beginnings. That’s the word God gives you when the vision feels too big and your steps feel too small. Too many people give up when they do not see immediate results. But the Lord says: just walk it out. Walk the land north, south, east, and west. Walk in obedience, one faithful step at a time.

You might only have an earthly dream right now. That’s good, but it’s not enough. Connect your earthly dream to a heavenly one. Say to the Lord, “If You bless me, I will honor You with it.” That shift in your heart changes everything.

There was a man who started with a few restaurants and honored God from day one. Today, his name is on the Forbes list. But that is not the miracle. The miracle is that through every step, he brought his tithe in envelopes, faithfully, consistently. God took a small beginning and built something for His glory.

That’s what God does. He takes the small, the unseen, the slow, and He breathes on it.

But you must tie it to the dream of Heaven. A house is good. A car is fine. A business is a blessing. But if it’s not connected to souls, to eternity, to the Kingdom, then it’s only half a dream.

So what do you do when you have only a little cloud? Elijah prayed for rain. Six times his servant saw nothing. On the seventh time, he saw a cloud the size of a man’s hand. And Elijah ran. He ran with the vision. The Bible says he outran the chariot. Why? Because he had seen what God said. Do not wait for everything to be perfect. When you see even a glimpse, move. If you can see it, God can give it. Just do not quit walking, and when it’s time, start running.

Pray this prayer today: “Father, I will not despise small beginnings. I surrender my life, my plans, and my limitations to you. Give me a vision that is bigger than me but grounded in you. Give me a heavenly dream that changes lives. I ask for fresh eyes to see what you are saying. I will walk it out in faith, and when you speak, I will run with it. In Jesus’ name, Amen.”
