Does God Really Care? (Part 3)

“And he said: ‘Naked I came from my mother’s womb, And naked shall I return there. The Lord gave, and the Lord has taken away; Blessed be the name of the Lord.’” Job 1:21

You may feel like your present situation is out of control, but God has always known what He would do. There’s never been a circumstance where He didn’t have a plan. Look at Job. He was the most blessed man in the land. He had ten children. But all of a sudden, out of nowhere, his world was turned upside down. In one day, he lost everything. He lost his flocks of cattle and sheep, his servants were kidnapped, his barns were lit on fire, and his savings were gone. His ten children were killed, and boils appeared all over his body. God told him nothing, but knew exactly what He would do.

Job, like many of you, was in a dark place. He now had to deal with poverty, sickness, and grief. Sometimes bad things happen in life. No one is exempt from tragedies, trials, and deep valleys. There will come situations that leave you in such a spiritual fog that you’re numb, don’t know what to do, and don’t have any answers. But God knows what He’s going to do in every circumstance. Job was in shambles, but God knew that he would get double one day. God gave him ten more children. So he had twenty total- ten in Heaven and ten on earth. God doubled his finances and even let him write a book in the Bible that would give hope to people who feel forgotten. If you’re in a dark place, rest assured that God knows what He will do. When life feels out of control, God’s still on the throne.

Andraé Crouch wrote a song that says,

“Oh, Job was sick oh so long

Till his flesh fell from his bones

His wife, cattle, and children

Everything he had was gone

But Job in his despair

Knew that God still cared

Sleepless days and sleepless nights

But Job said that’s alright

Because, I’ve got confidence

That God is going to see me through

No matter what the case may be

I know He’s going to fix it for me

Some folks wonder how I smile

Even when I'm going through trials

They say, Andraé, how can you have a song

When everything is going wrong?

But I don't worry, I don't fret

My God has never failed me yet

Troubles come from time to time

But that's alright, I'm not the worrying kind.

Because I've got confidence

God is going to see me through.

No matter what the case may be

I know He’s going to fix it for me.”
