Be A Monuments Man

“Be on your guard; stand firm in the faith; be courageous; be strong. Do everything in love.” 1 Corinthians 16:13-14 (NIV)

You’re living in a time when strong, godly families are rare. A husband who leads with love, a father who stays when it’s hard, a man who honors his vows — that’s not common. But it’s needed now more than ever.

You were never meant to abandon your post. You were created to fight for your family. The enemy doesn’t come to annoy you. He comes to steal your treasure. He is after your wife, your children, and your legacy. He wants to wreck what God is building in your home and rob you of the joy that comes from a faithful, enduring love.

But you have a choice. You can become a Monuments Man, the kind of man who runs into the battle, not away from it. When the spiritual warfare breaks out, when your home gets messy, when temptation knocks on your door, you stand your ground and declare, “This may be a mess, but it’s my mess, and it’s God’s family, and hell can’t have it.”

You’re not called to be a player. You’re not called to be a flirt, a drifter, or a part-time dad. You’re called to be a family man. A faithful man. A man who shows up and stays planted, no matter what. There’s no affair, no fantasy, and no flirtation that’s worth losing your family. Don’t trade decades of treasure for a moment of thrill. You’ve got acres of diamonds right where you are.

And when the pressure mounts, when the culture tells you to walk away, when the seduction whispers, “Just this once,” remember who you are.

You’ve got little eyes watching you. Little feet following your steps.

You’re carrying the weight of a family on your shoulders, and you’re not carrying it alone. God’s strength is in you. So, guard your heart. Gird up your mind. Shut the door on compromise and open your heart to truth. You’re a Monuments Man. A family man. And by God’s grace, you’ll finish well.

Fathers, pray this prayer today: “Lord God, please help me be the man my family needs. Keep my heart faithful, my mind strong, and my steps steady. I declare that my home is not for sale to the enemy. I am a family man by Your strength and for Your glory. Amen.”
