A Good Day
“For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!” 2 Corinthians 4:17
You may have been through a tough season, but it’s time to dream again, reach again, and stir up your faith again. Expect good things. Good days are coming.
In the book of Esther, Esther and her family endure many hardships. She was taken from her homeland and made to be a concubine in the king’s palace. Then, a leader in the palace named Haman became jealous of her uncle and tried to have him killed. He tried to write up a mandate to have all Esther’s people killed - an entire nation! During that ordeal, there were three times that God turned the battle in their favor and three times, it says, “And they had a good day.”
You may be living in a tumultuous season that is worsening. But God will bring you out of that hardship, and you will gradually begin to see a light at the end of the tunnel. You will see your joy come back. You will see your finances turn around. Your lost children will start to come back to him.
When God delivered Esther and her family, they rejoiced and celebrated. The king started blessing Mordecai and gave him Haman’s house. He revoked Haman’s mandate to kill all of Esther’s people, and the scripture says in Esther 8:17, “And in every province, and every city, whithersoever the king's commandment and his decree came, the Jews had joy and gladness, a feast and a good day.”
God wants you to know that good days are coming! He will bring you a good report, an excellent X-ray, or a good phone call, and the tide will turn. You’ve had some testing and trying days, but rest assured, better ones are coming!
