Sermon Notes
There is great treasure in your church, home, and family that must be preserved and protected. The enemy wants to steal, kill, and destroy. But men must stand up and refuse to allow Hell to steal what God has given to them.
Key Scriptures:
Ezekiel 22:30; Proverbs 18:22
Key Points:
- Be a family man. The church needs men who are committed to their families and will fight for their families and stay pure for them. You don’t have to be a perfect man to be a family man. Don’t let Hell have your treasure. Don’t play with pornography, flirtatious texts with someone else, or a home-wrecking spirit. Gird up the loins of your mind. You have little minds and eyes focused on you, and one dumb decision can ruin the treasure God has given you.
- Invest in your family. Take your son fishing, take your daughter on a date, and show up for their ball games and recitals. Have fun with your children. Don’t always be the one disciplining; learn to have fun with your kids. You are living on a battlefield. Let God remind you of what matters.
- Be attentive to your family. Don’t let your kids do whatever they want without knowing what they’re doing. Ask about their teachers and who they’re dating, and watch what they wear. Children need parents who get in their business.
- Be positive. Learn the art of being a family man that has fun. Everyone’s story starts at home, so have fun with your kids. Make them laugh, and cherish the time you have with them.
- Understand your responsibility. Every family goes through battles. Life will hit, and it will hit hard. A man’s job is to gather what’s left and keep his family together. When the enemy strikes, assess the damage, supervise the repair work, and ensure that no further damage is done; that’s what family men do.
Final Thoughts:
Fight for your family. Fight for your children. Fight for your brothers and sisters. Fight for your mother and father. Build and battle because the miracle is in what’s left. Your family can be whole again, and you can see miracles come out of the mess because God is the god of families.
