In spite of their father’s mistakes and judgment, the sons of Korah made a different decision and redeemed their family name. No matter what your family has done, you don’t have to carry on the tradition. Make a different decision and redeem your family name.

Key Points:
- Decisions distinguish you. You don’t have to stay on the bad side of what has happened in your family. You can make a decision to be on the right side again. If you never carry the altar of sacrifice on your shoulder, you’ll never carry the anointing in your life.
- Run in your own lane. Is it a small thing that God has saved you? Don’t allow yourself to be full of envy and jealousy. Run in the lane God has put you in. You can’t compete and cooperate at the same time. Find your lane and stay in it. Excellence is not being better than everyone else but being the best you can be for the glory of God.
- Attitudes are infectious. When someone has a bad attitude, it will affect their families. If everyone in your family gossiped, complained, and had a bad attitude, you can choose something different. You may have the same last name, but you don’t have to do everything they do. You don’t have to walk in generational curses. Jesus can get in your genetics, and the Holy Ghost can be your heritage.
- Start a new family tradition. God can change your traditions and habits. It’s time to start new traditions of fasting, praying, going to church, praising, and serving God.
Final Thoughts:
When you die, what will really matter is the name you leave your family. When Jesus gets in your family name, he can change everything. Love, serve, and go to church with your family, and redeem your family name.
