How to Recover It All

Ziklag was an in-between city for David. Somewhere between your prophecy and destiny is Ziklag. It is the place of waiting that everyone will go through one way or another. It is the place you cannot avoid, where God develops and equips you for your calling. What will you do in your Ziklag? Will you stand or crumble?

Key Scripture:

1 Samuel 30:1-19; John 10:10; Ecclesiastes 3:4; 2 Samuel 5:23-24; Psalm 30:5; Psalm 56:8; Psalm 84:6; 2 Kings 7:3; Proverbs 24:10; Luke 17:1 Colossians 3:12-14; Matthew 6:15; Exodus 15:22-27; Proverbs 15:4; Proverbs 4:23; Acts 26:2; Acts 10:45; Job 39:29; Genesis 13:14; Matthew 25:41

Key Points:

  1. David wept. Faith does not make you immune from your feelings; it is okay to weep. But God promises that although weeping may endure for the night, joy comes in the morning. God will bottle up every tear and restore your joy.
  2. David refused to get bitter. Instead of getting bitter against God and people, forgive and speak words that heal. Your words can take the root of bitterness and turn it into a tree of life.
  3. David encouraged himself. Focus on God and everything He has done for you and how powerful He is. Choose the joy of the Lord. Thanksgiving is the seed for joy.
  4. David got a word from the Lord. Run to the house of God in times of trouble and hear the Rhema word of God. Once you get a word from God, it changes your vision to see victory. Victory begins on the inside, and your vision is your victory.
  5. David got mad at the devil. God has intense anger against the devil and his demons. Don’t just sit back. Get mad and do something about your situation. Don’t let the devil take what God has promised to you.

Final Thoughts:

Everyone will go through Ziklag at some point in their lives. It’s a place between your prophecy and destiny. You can crumble or stand. Weep, refuse to get bitter, encourage yourself in the Lord, get a word from the Lord, and get mad at the devil. Watch what God does if you follow the Lord in the middle of Ziklag. You will recover all that the devil took from you. And if you do not recover, God will replace.
