Giants Still Fall

Sermon Notes

There are spiritual, ancient giants in the world. They are all big, loud, and have weapons. They may be frightening and intimidating, but God knows how to deal with giants. They can all be defeated!

Key Scriptures:

II Samuel 21:15-22; Amos 2:9; Deuteronomy 2:10-11; Deuteronomy 3:11; I Samuel 17:16; Isaiah 54:17; II Timothy 1:7; II Corinthians 10:4; Ruth 2:4; Ruth 4:11; Micah 5:2; Matthew 2:1

Key Points:

  1. God is bigger than your giant. It doesn’t matter how big your giant is, how loud they talk, or how big their weapons are in the natural. The weapons you have through God are mighty to pull down strongholds. Giants never kill giant-killers, not because of the size of the giant-killer, but because of the size of their God.
  2. Giant-killers let the spirit of faith take over the spirit of fear. It doesn’t mean you’re not afraid, but you don’t let it overwhelm your faith. It may not make sense now, but God will bring joy out of sorrow and beauty from ashes.
  3. Giant-killers come from the same hotspot. May the Church produce giant-killers as fast as the world produces giants. A new generation of giant-killers is arising.
  4. Stay positive. If you’re going to raise a family of giant-killers, you have to stay positive and love one another. Instead of talking down to your family, create an atmosphere of encouragement. It’s that kind of atmosphere that produces giant-killers who become famous in the Kingdom of God.

Final Thoughts:

Jesus is the ultimate giant-killer. He defeated the giant of sin, death, addiction, and anything else you face. If you call upon his name, you will be saved and set free!
