If you want to stay married and avoid bitterness and resentment, it takes work. Men tend to think it takes huge acts of kindness to please their wives, but oftentimes, it’s the little things you do consistently that make the most impact. You must learn to consistently oversee your spouse’s faults and meet in the middle.

Key Points:
- See your spouse through eyes of mercy. Even if you don’t see eye to eye on everything, you must see each other through the eyes of mercy. God dwells in the relationships of people who see each other through mercy and forgiveness.
- Don’t split the dove. Marriage is brutal on selfishness; it requires you to sacrifice over and over again and remember the vows you made. God’s presence is attracted to unity, and that’s why Satan wants to divide you and your spouse. Don’t allow him to eliminate the presence of the Holy Spirit from your marriage.
- God must be in the middle. When you made your vows to your spouse, God was in the middle of them. If you want His presence in your marriage, you must obey God’s Word completely. When God intertwines in your marriage, it cannot be easily broken. God is not on your side or your spouse’s, but in the middle; the middle is the “Throne Zone,” where God’s presence shows up. Put Him in the middle of your marriage, family, and convictions, and don’t let Satan get in the middle of your marriage.
- Get closer to God. If you want to get closer to your spouse, it only comes by getting closer to God. Without Him, you can do nothing. So, don’t let the Devil divide you. Instead, Give God the center of your marriage and create the “Throne Zone” in the middle.
Final Thoughts:
God has a purpose and plan for your life. If you’re considering marrying someone, they should help you get closer to fulfilling that purpose. Don’t let pride and hurt get in the way of fulfilling the purpose for your life. Reach out to your spouse and create a “Throne Zone” in the middle ground of forgiveness and love.
